This project involved the mechanical redesign of a toaster. This involved identifying the customer needs, creating the bill of material and product architecture, the QFD and DFA analysis, as well as cost estimation, life cycle analysis, and the redesigned components.
This project really helped me get a better grasp of key features like QFD and DFA. It also helped me to better understand all the aspects involved in product development and manufacturing, right from identifying customer needs, till the completed, manufactured product.
