The team was asked to design a product that solved a problem faced daily. We re-designed the simple pillow, incorporating a flashlight, a vibration alarm, etc. The product was designed in CAD, the materials were selected using CES, and a marketing and business plan was drawn up complete with a floor plan and production machinery. The project utilized topics like Value Engineering, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chains, Quality Management, Bill of Materials, Gantt Charts, etc.
