In this report, a control system is applied to an aircraft that has had its initial parameters manipulated. A camera and sensor package weighing 0.8 lbf is added to the tail of the aircraft. This moves the center of gravity back 5 inches and increases the inertia by 10% about the y-axis. The new longitudinal aerodynamic coefficients are calculated to determine how the longitudinal modes change. A control system is designed and applied to the elevator by finding gain values for both short period and phugoid approximations to manipulate the aircraft to have similar longitudinal modes resembling that of the original aircraft.
