Data mining, has been a popular field of science to understand and generate information from data stored by the organizations. As a part of the academic project during under graduate, I got my hands dirty on data mining project, that aims to predict if a person poses threat of heart disease by using combination of predictive algorithms. The main aim of this project is to compare the performance of 2 algorithms namely Naive Bayes, decision trees(Entropy) on raw unprocessed data and prescribe the best one. To compare the performance metric of the algorithms, each algorithms was coded in C#, accuracy and time of execution is chooses as performance metric to decide on the best algorithm for the given data.
