Developing a global data registry of outcome data from birth and midwifery centers from across low- and middle- income countries through the use of Survey Monkey is both feasible and efficient. Birth centers in these generally rural areas generally do not have the technical or staff capabilities to capture patient or case-based data that is important for understanding trends and patterns. By providing these technical and data collecting capabilities to these center, there is a hope that there will be better data collection and understanding of the role and burdens of these centers across the world. While each center can have low monthly volume, actionable data can be captured by combining these together to seek out patterns and trends. Lastly, by working across multiple multiple centers, we can create a network or shared community that can help to be a knowledge sharing platform as well.
