As a member of the Infrastructure Team and Security Subcommittee, my specific role focused on selecting, configuring, verifying, and testing an intrusion detection system (IDS). I prepared our VMware ESXi server by installing prerequisite software while consulting with my teammates responsible for the virtual machine environment to ensure security best practices were followed in the server set up. We engaged in tabletop scenario response plans to help identify potential current/future threats and vulnerabilities in the company's system and operations.
