Cancer is the number one leading cause of death in Mecklenburg County and Charlotte. The goal of this project was to develop a strategy to help combat this issue. In researching this problem, it was determined that low-income individual's concerns over cost resulted in many putting off or postponing service due. Potential cancer patients need easy access to a platform that informs them about free and cheap cancer screening tests. Doing this would help more people catch their cancer early drastically increasing their survival rate. The "Your Insurance" website is a source where users can be educated on the existing healthcare, top leading causes of death, and insurance plans. As more patients learn about free or low-cost cancer screening tests and their importance, patients can find cancer at its early stages before symptoms appear and have easier and quicker treatment.
