Volunteering with Professor Mello, the head of the Cal Poly Composites Lab, to manufacture custom composite road and mountain bike frames leveraging the resources on campus. For this project, I am currently researching and evaluating multiple composite manufacturing techniques such as pressure molding, filament winding, vacuum molding. This research allows us to determine which production technique is best suited for each component as well as the lab.
