1. This Data Plan project required student to build up a group, and select a small/medium sized art company/organization. It does not have to be Chicago-based, but avoid any large, well-known companies/corporations.
2. Do some basic research on the organization to determine:
a.What, if any, data does the company currently collect, and how do they collect it/where do they collect it from?
b.How does the company utilize the data they collect?
c.Make some assumptions if you have to, based on what you know of the company's operations, but explain yourself thoroughly.
3.Write a paper that acts as a data plan for the company that:
a.Summarizes the information you learned from your research on what the company already collects and how they currently use it.
b.Make recommendations for:
c.How they might better collect and/or use the data they already collect, in order to increase demand for their product/service?
d.What additional data do you think the company should start collecting, how do you think they should collect it, and how can they utilize that data to increase demand for their product/service? e.What opportunity costs would there be to implement this
plan?
f.Examines the limitations and ethical concerns with your proposed use of data.
4.Prepare a 15 minute presentation on your findings.
To finish such project, we interviewed the curator Jeffery Moy of
