In today’s world of increasing computer crimes and dwindling budgets, digital forensic organizations and investigators must have the best equipment and software to obtain critical evidence in order to prosecute cybercrime cases properly. However, these same organizations and individuals must understand and recognize the pros and cons of the available hardware and software to be fiscally responsible while obtaining all the available evidence. This paper aims to shows the best and worst of three well-known pieces of software, so purchasing agents get the best software for the organization’s funding.
