Using case studies provided by our instructor, we had to:
1. Describe the developmental stages of infants, toddlers, preschool (4–5-year-olds), and school-age (6-8-year-olds)
2. Summarize one theorist’s beliefs about preschool/ school-age development and use a different theory than we did in the previous case studies.
3. Analyze how biological, environmental, protective, and adverse factors may have impacted this preschooler’s/ school-age's development and learning.
4. Analyze developmentally appropriate practices that support this preschooler’s/ school-age's growth and development in physical, cognitive, social and emotional, and linguistic domains.
5. Analyze how this preschooler’s/ school-age's development and learning intersect across developmental domains.
