The Career Development Needs Assessment was developed to give counselors a better understanding of their student population needs. It is based on the difficulties related to career indecision and factors that influence career decision-making, particularly lack of knowledge about occupations and oneself. The questions focus on the student’s ability to make career decisions, the student’s ability to find occupational information, the student’s degree of self-knowledge, and the student’s level of motivation.
