This book critique was a project that displays the ability to properly summarize a piece of writing and also effectively communicating your opinion. One of the most difficult parts of this book critique was keeping track of all the information you obtain while reading the book. One thing that really helped was writing important pieces of information on sticky notes and placing them in the book as I went along. After the book was finished came the difficult part of taking the information you read in summarizing it in your own words. I feel I was very effective in this part due to the fact I took very detailed notes as I read the book. One thing that I learned was how to determine what information is critical to put in a summary and what things you can leave out. Another major part of the critique was your personal opinion of the book. Early on in my education career, I learned how to effectively communicate my opinion in writing and that translated very well into this project.

The biggest take away from this writing was learning how to effectively summarize a book to the point where no important information is left out while being brief.
