This is Rage at the Ruin, a board game I designed for a Technology Student Association state and national competition and won 1st in state. My goal was to create a game that was fun and engaging to players while still remaining strategically challenging. I decided to make a card deck building and combat strategy game for 2-6 players. I have spent many hours playing and critiquing board games, but with this competition, I was given the opportunity to create a game that contained aspects of games I liked without the ones I didn't. I took inspiration from some of my favorite board games–brainstormed mechanics and intertwining features–and over the course of many months had this final product. Everything was of my own design, ranging from numerous cards, figurines, tokens, and tiles.
