This paper is an introduction to Bernoulli numbers in mathematics.
Bernoulli numbers are a special set of rational numbers that are found in power sum
formulas, Maclaurin series expansions of trigonometric functions, and the computation
of integer values of the zeta function. Bernoulli numbers show up in many other places
in number theory as well, such as in the theory of modular forms.
