Basic Robot Assembly

SITE 2015 was a multi-disciplinary program and I participated in the Autonomous Robot group. We started this project with assembling the basic robot that had given instructions. We were then given the task of designing a new and original robot that had robot-environment interaction capabilities. The design we came up with was the robotic arm. It had the ability to rotate 360 degrees until it encountered an object in close radius. Then it would stop and shoot the ball into the cup with the assistance of motors and sensors. This project allowed me to think outside the box while working as a team. It also educated me in the applications of infrared, ultrasonic, color, and touch sensors, and introduced some coding.
