AT&T is known for its comprehensive portfolio of telephone services, cellular networks, cable, internet, media platforms, and so much more. Recently the company has acquired Direct TV and Time Warner to compete with Netflix and Amazon. These mergers have expanded the market for AT&T for years to come. What we do not hear or see much of is the marketing, public relations, human resource, and corporate citizenship of these mega-companies such as AT&T. The essay will be discussing how policies and programs are taken by AT&T to influence ethical behavior and social responsibility. Recommendations were made to AT&T's marketing strategy to focus on the brands more. In addition, AT&T is employing numerous diverse and unique individuals who make up the labor force. Through the company's mission that encourages AT&T company's accessible, inclusive culture, they ensure that each of the employees is appreciated and everyone works collectively as part of the team. This paper will also analyze three issues related to diversity within the corporation of AT&T. The three issues discovered in research are unfair labor practice, no representation of diversity in the legal team, and inequitable treatment of services to customers during the Time Warner acquisition. The recommendation provided for these issues with the alignment of the organization's mission and core principles.
