The second artifact I am including in my portfolio is a KPMG water bottle. I am including this artifact because it is representative of my first internship in the consulting industry. This past summer I had the pleasure to work at the KPMG office in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a Junior. Consultant. On my first day as an intern, Human Resources gave me a small welcoming gift which included a KPMG water bottle.
With this water bottle, not only was I able to stay hydrated at the office, but it actually helped me make some great connections with my work peers when I refilled it at the water cooler and struck up conversations with others. Because of this water bottle, I met my best friend at work who was also an intern there. Before I came back to the United States, we exchanged LinkedIns and promised if we ever had the opportunity to connect each other with a possible job opportunity, we would reach out to each other. Therefore this artifact is important to me because it played a pivotal role in how I made connections at my first Internship with a big 4 firm.
