This lab report was completed for CHEM272. I worked with a group during the lab, but we worked separately for the lab report. To introduce the lab, we had a short story on a character who took some questionable aspirin versus Bayer aspirin. Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid, which is what reduces inflammation. During the lab, we performed several titrations while collecting pH data. This was used to determine the amount of acetylsalicylic acid in the questionable and Bayer aspirin samples given.

For this lab, I had to create the methodology for the experiment. Our previous experiments in the the class gave me an idea of the overall process to find a concentration using titrations. I used Excel to format the data collected and create graphs. For finding the amounts of acetylsalicylic acid, I used what I learned in previous chemistry courses.
