Jet engine aircraft become more efficient the less they weigh, meaning efficiency increases as they burn an increasing amount of fuel. This shedding of weight allows the two aircraft engines to propel the plane through the air while burning less fuel. A differential equation was created and modeled to allow us to visualize this growth of fuel economy of the changing mass of an aircraft.
