During my Fall 2019 Advanced Ecology lab course, I worked with two of my undergraduate peers and two graduate students to develop and execute a research project on the effect of food availability and temperature acclimation on the thermal tolerance of the Easter Red-backed Salamander (Plethodon cinereous). This was a semester long research study during our lab time for Advanced Ecology. This research study was a redo attempt from the same study done one year prior for the same class. We developed a new hypothesis and experiment, collected the salamanders and started the experiment. We collected and analyzed the research data, then individually created our research presentation posters.
