This is a letter to parents, explaining the learning environment and classroom management procedures that will take place in their student's classrooms. This letter also provides information on the four different psychological approaches to classroom management, as well as a rational for the type of classroom management that will be implemented in their student's classroom. Finally, the letter explains my rules, and the rationals for each of these rules, for 15 common classroom procedures.
This project also aligns with the Teacher Performance Expectation 2: Creating and Maintaining Effective Environments for Student Learning. Specifically, This letter to parents shows an example of TPE 2, Element 6: Establish and maintain clear expectations for positive classroom behavior and for student-to-student and student-to-teacher interactions by communicating classroom routines, procedures, and norms to students and families.
