In the nursing profession, it is essential to demonstrate values and behaviors aligned with the ANA Code of Ethics, professional standards, and legal responsibilities. These principles form the foundation of safe, compassionate, and accountable nursing practice. My synthesis clinical reflection paper (Artifact 1A) highlights a hospital shift that allowed me to actively embody professional values. In this reflection, I discussed real-life scenarios where I advocated for patients, maintained integrity in care delivery, and upheld the dignity of each individual—reinforcing my belief in the importance of human-centered, ethical nursing.

Both evaluation assignments (Artifact 1B and 1C) offer examples of how I’ve consistently applied core nursing values in clinical and classroom settings. These evaluations include situations where I demonstrated respect for patient autonomy, addressed ethical challenges, and prioritized safe, evidence-based care. They also reflect my understanding of accountability and professionalism, especially in emotionally complex or high-stakes environments.

Altogether, these artifacts illustrate my deepening commitment to the ethical standards that guide our profession. As I transition into my nursing career, I will continue to uphold these values in every interaction with patients.
