Rebuilding and upgrading the cylinder head on a Toyota 22re. Machining the seats with a 3-angle cutter ensures consistent angle widths and depths as well as improves airflow at low lift. The port bowls were blended and short turn radius smoothed. The valve faces were re-ground to make them true and concentric. A 30 degree back-cut was ground on the intake valves to increase flow. The valve guides were brought back into spec before any work was done on the valve seats. Using a T&S Valve Guide and Seat machine, the valve seats were cut using a Newen carbide insert. The deck was resurfaced on a T&S milling surface machine.
