This is a robot built for the 2013 F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition. Its goal was to acquire and launch frisbees toward targets between 7 and 8 feet tall. Additionally, it had to hang from or climb a pyramid made of cylindrical aluminum tubes.

It used a flywheel mechanism for launching projectiles and pneumatically-powered hooks to hang from the pyramid. Other components include DC motors, a chain-driven wheeled drive base, gearboxes, a CPU, a power distribution board, cameras for vision tracking, motor controllers, an air compressor, pneumatic solenoids, and air valves.

I manufactured numerous aluminum, steel, and polycarbonate components to build the robot's chassis and launching mechanism. I utilized a band saw, a drill press, power drills, a jig saw, an angle grinder, a Dremel rotary tool, and hand tools to make and assemble parts.
